Ready for the new season?
During the off season (while we were all being blessed with the World Cup) we tried to come up with new ways to engage you the readers a lot more by giving you a platform to express yourself better than ever on The 12th Player. So, we’ve decided to introduce two new columns solely dedicated to our keen readers;
The 12th Player Debate
For those of you who read the very first issue of our e-Mag last year, we debuted The 12th Player Debate feature in it which saw two of our readers [@Trafels & @jimioguns] go head to head as they argued different issues that affected the beautiful game in our domestic league here in Nigeria as well as those that affected the rest of the football world. This new column, The 12th Player Debate, will run on the first Friday of every month starting from September. For those of you who would like to participate in the debates and test your in-depth knowledge about football issues with fellow fans, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, twitter handle (if you’re a user) and the club you support. [If you would like to see debaters share their views on a topic, email your questions to us as well]
With most games traditionally played over the weekend, football fans whose teams fail to perform always tend to vent on Sunday nights/Monday mornings. A select few might want their little rants well documented to really let that steam out while some would want it documented for the “I Told You So!” and “Eat your words” moments and this column is just the perfect one for that. You can send in your post-match rants about players, teams, transfers, managers, owners, mascots, whatever (but NOT GEJ) every Sunday evening/early Monday morning to MondayRant@thexiiplayer.com being as candid and livid as you want. Kindly include your name, twitter handle (if you’re a user) and City you’re writing us from in the mail. We would also advice that you keep your rants to a maximum of 300 words to give room other Monday Ranters .
For questions on these new columns, use the comment box or mail either of the two aforementioned email addresses and we will get back to you.
